Child Health Internationals intitial three year project partnering Russian medical teams with the Southampton cystic fibrosis centre draws to a close. However, key relationships formed during this time will ensure that collaboration and communication continues, both with Child Health International, and directly between medical specialists.
At the end of the project, life expectancy of a CF patient in Moscow had doubled to 22 years and the benefits of treating a sick child with a multidisciplinary team was acknowledged.
